Families of two of the three British girls who left UK to join ISIL in Syria have married men approved for them by the militants.
According to The Guardian, Shamima Begum, 15 and Kadiza Sultana, 16 have told their families that they have been married and are living in Syria.
The families said one of the girls phoned and another one used a social media platform to inform them of her marriage.
The girls also said they are living in two separate places in and around Syria’s Raqqa city which is under the full control of ISIL militants.
The families of the girls said they are shocked by the news of their daughters’ marriages.
The girls fled to Syria back in February taking a flight from UK to Turkey which borders Syria. They alleged crossed into Syria a few days later.
There is no report yet on the fate of the third gril: Kadiza Sultana 16.
