Another US singer has called on Republican front runner Donald Trump to stop using his music in his campaign for the 2016 presidential election.

Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler wrote a cease-and-desist letter to the real estate mogul Monday, asking him to stop the song “Dream on” as it “gives a false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump’s presidential bid.”

Tyler has also threatened to pursue the matter legally if he keeps on using the song.

The singer’s lawyers said in the letter that “if Trump for President does not comply with our demands, our client will be forced to pursue any and all legal or equitable remedies which our client may have against you.”

Tyler (pictured above) is not the first one to have objected to Trump for violation of copyright and misuse of artwork for promoting his campaign.

Neil Young made a similar move in mid-June for his song “Rockin’ in the Free World.”

R.E.M. also responded to the use of their song “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine),” with its singer calling the move “a moronic charade of a campaign.”

The band said in a Facebook statement that it does not “authorize or condone the use of [their] music at this political event, and do ask that these candidates cease and desist from doing so.”

“Let us remember that there are things of greater importance at stake here,” it said. “The media and the American voter should focus on the bigger picture, and not allow grandstanding politicians to distract us from the pressing issues of the day and of the current presidential campaign.”

The Republican frontrunner “knows how to get attention,” as US President Obama said Sunday. “He is, you know, the classic reality TV character, and at this early stage, it's not surprising that he's gotten a lot of attention."
