- Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh says Tehran plans to boost gas exports once the sanctions are removed under a deal with the P-5+1 group. Zanganeh was speaking during the Gas Exporting Countries Forum Summit in Tehran. 17 countries including Qatar, Libya, Russia and the U-A-E attended the meeting.
- Iran’s Parliament Speaker says the West needs to end its double-standards regarding fighting terrorism in the Middle East. Ali Larijani suggested the West asks its regional allies to stop funding and arming terrorist groups. He said the West seems to be using terrorism as a tool to achieve its goals.
- Belgium has raised the alert level in the capital Brussels to the highest due to an imminent terrorist threat. Citizens have been warned to avoid crowds as a key suspect in the Paris attacks is still on the run. Brussels' metro system has also been shut down.
- France has extended a ban on public gatherings in Paris until November 30, the start of the UN climate talks. The ban was introduced in the wake of last week’s terror attacks in the city. A state of emergency has already been extended across France for three months.
- Anger and despair on the Greek border where refugees are being prevented from crossing into Macedonia. The Spanish border has also been tense with some 100 Sub-Saharan refugees storming the border with Morocco. Hundreds of thousands from North Africa and the Mideast are seeking to enter the EU.
- Palestinians have staged a rally to protest against Israel’s closure of a Palestinian radio station in the West Bank city of al-Khalil. They raided the station and confiscated equipment on Saturday. Israeli forces have also clashed with Palestinians in Bireh in the central West Bank.
- Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif has slammed the UN human rights committee for adopting a Saudi-drafted resolution against Tehran for what it calls intervention in Syria's conflict. Zarif said the very countries which helped create the ISIL are slamming Iran which is fighting against the terrorist group.
