US President Donald Trump has removed chief strategist Steve Bannon from the National Security Council. Bannon’s removal from the top advisory body reversed a controversial decision to give him access to high-level meetings. The addition of the former head of an ultra-right website to the National Security Council in January drew condemnation from Trump critics.
