Afghanistan is still suffering from insecurity and violence, 16 years after the United States started the so-called war on terror in the country. The US invasion of Afghanistan occurred soon after the September 11 attacks blamed on the al-Qaeda network. As Press TV correspondent Amin Alemi reports, many Afghans believe the 9/11 attacks gave Washington a pretext for furthering its interventionist military policies.
