Germans will head to the polls Sunday for national elections. While Chancellor Angela Merkel looks likely to win a fourth term, several smaller parties could have a big impact on her leadership in her next term.

In this edition of The Debate, Press TV has spoken to Michael Springmann, an American author and former diplomat from Washington, and John Mason, a professor of political science at William Paterson University from New York, to discuss Germany's federal election while Chancellor Angela Merkel looks likely to defend her position against Martin Schulz for a fourth term in power.
