Beach Soccer Cup Dubai 2018: Iran 8-1 USA
Iran have kicked off their campaign at the International Beach Soccer Cup Dubai 2018, with an 8-1 thrashing of Team USA.
It didn’t take long for Iran to open the scoring as Mohammad Moradi found the net. Amir-Hossein Akbari and Mohammad Ahmadzadeh bagged 2 more goals to give Iran a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.
After the break, Mostafa Kiani made it 4-0 on a free-kick before Moslem Mesigar scored the 5th. The Asian Power-house then scored 3 additional goals.
Gabriel Silveira pulled 1 back for the stars and stripes in the 3rd period. With the win, Iran top group B, while Russia sit 2nd after defeating Tahiti 7-6. Iran will next meet Tahiti on Wednesday.
