Shanghai Masters: Zverev stuns Federer

Alexander Zverev has stunned Roger Federer in three sets to go through to the semi-final round of the 2019 Shanghai Masters. 

The German took the first set 6-3. Then, after a bumpy start in the second, Zverev was back in front at 6-5 to serve for the match.

However, Federer saved three match points to force a tiebreak where he managed to win, and level the match.

Zverev bounced back in the decider, broke Federer once, and stayed locked-in to close out the match with another 6-3 win.

In the semi-finals, Zverev will meet another giant killer, Matteo Berrettini of Italy, who got the better of Dominic Thiem in a straight-sets victory.
