The former President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, made his way to Mexico after accepting the country’s offer of political asylum following his resignation. He vowed to return to Le Paz with more strength and energy. Mexico City praised Morales’ decision to step down saying he prevented risking the lives of the country’s residents. Bolivia has seen weeks of violent unrest following a disputed election. A series of quick developments on Sunday led to the resignation of Morales.
