Ten Iranian military helicopters have been overhauled and become operational by the country’s military industries.

The helicopters entered into service through a ceremony on Sunday, after being overhauled by Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Company (IHSRC), which is affiliated with Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO).

Addressing the ceremony, Iran’s Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Qassem Taqizadeh said the IHSRC is now able to overhaul a wide range of military helicopters, including Chinook CH and SH series as well as Mil Mi-17.

Since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
