Canada’s Milos Raonic has dispatched Andy Murray from the third round of the Western and Southern Open also known as the Cincinnati Masters, with a straight sets victory.

In a battle of former top five players, big-serving Raonic stormed to a 6-2 win in the first set, before the match was suspended due to heavy rain.

Yet, the key moment came after the resumption, when Murray was down 3-2, earning his only two break points.

Raonic shrugged off both and clinched the game before breaking the Brit once again on his way to claiming another 6-2 win, and a spot in the quarterfinals, after one hour and 29 minutes.

The Canadian will next face Filip Krajinovic of Serbia on Thursday.

Elsewhere in the tournament, Stefanos Tsitsipas gave the tiebreaker king, John Isner, a taste of his own medicine, after defeating the American 7-6, 7-6, in an impressive fashion, to reach the Cincinnati Masters’ quarterfinals.

The world no. 6 never broke Isner’s serve, but consistently came up big on the most important points to advance in one hour and 42 minutes.

Up next for Tsitsipas is one of the other biggest servers on tour, Reilly Opelka, who booked his spot in the last eight by beating Matteo Berrettini in straight sets.
