Yemen's army marks new advances in eastern Yemen

After liberating the whole province of al-Bayda from the Saudi-backed groups, Yemen's armed forces began moving toward the eastern region of Shabwah.
Bayhan, Ain, and Usaylan directorates were captured during the first phase of the operation.
Military experts say the liberated areas have strategic importance as they are overlooking Ataq the capital of Shabwah Governorate as well as Harib area of Ma’rib, meaning that all supply routes linking Shabwah with Ma'rib will be cut off for the Saudi-backed forces.
Recently, the Yemeni army has captured vast areas in the oil-rich province of Ma'rib from the Saudi-backed forces.
This has pushed Yemen's army to upscale its operations and move toward eastern areas to liberate all Yemen's soil from foreign powers.
Yemenis say the army is determined to liberate territories from the hands of invaders. They believe that the army has the upper hand and will eventually expel all proxies of the US, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab emirates from the country.
