Russia’s Andrey Rublev has opened his ATP tennis finals campaign with a straight sets win over Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
The Russian who had lost five of his past seven matches displayed one of his best performances to upset the 4th seeded Greek with two 6-4 in 90 minutes.
Rublev was at his heavy-hitting best winning 90 percent of his first service points and did not face a break point across either sets. He joined Novak Djokovic at the top of the green group as the pair are level at a win apiece.
