Alexander Zverev has won the ATP Tour Finals for the second time after beating defending champion Daniil Medvedev in a one-sided final in Turin.
Coming on the back of an impressive semi-final victory over Novak Djokovic, Zverev made a superb start in his bid to claim a first success over Medvedev since 2019 by breaking the Russian early in the opener.
The Olympic champion then remained focused and concluded an excellent 34-minute set by serving it out at 6-4.
Zverev continued to keep the US Open champion at arm’s length in the second and held his nerve to close out the match with another 6-4.
The victory saw him repeat his 2018 feat, and notch up a tour-best 6th trophy of the year, while ending a 5-match losing run against Medvedev.
