Saudi Arabia have been crowned the AFC under-23 Asian Cup Champions for the first-time-ever, after beating Uzbekistan 2-0 in the final in Tashkent.

The young Saudis turned on the power, four minutes into the second half, when Ahmed Al-Gamdi fired in the opening goal from the edge of the box.

The hosts surged forward in search of the equalizer, but they were caught on the counter in the 74th minute, when Firas Al-Brikan sealed the win for the Saudis, and ended their long wait for the title.
