The Bagram prison is in Afghanistan’'s Parwan province. The facility had been set up in 2001 by the US military inside its airbase. The US called it a detention facility but for years to come, over 5000 people would be kidnapped, interrogated and tortured there, without any legal representation and often without a shred of evidence.

Afghanistan’s Bagram prison became known as the Guantanamo of Afghanistan. But in some ways, things were even worse there.
