Iran and Saudi Arabia have taken steps to restore diplomatic relations after seven years of estrangement as part of a China-brokered deal. The two countries have agreed to reopen their embassies and diplomatic missions in each other’s capitals. The restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries has the potential to reduce tensions in the region and improve cooperation on regional issues.
