Around 100,000 people have been evacuated from flooded villages in Pakistan's Punjab province, according to an emergency services representative.

Several hundred villages in the central province were inundated and thousands of acres of crops were destroyed when the Sutlej river overflowed.

"The children are hungry and there is nothing for them to eat. All the crops have been destroyed, we don’t even have a home," says Sudhra Bibi, a villager affected by the flood.
