A united Ireland free from Westminster's rule and a genuine global player has been the dream of not only Republicans, but also those who rue the damage that the partition has done and continues to do.

Those in the north consistently have poorer outcomes compared to their relatives in the south. Major indexes like education, employment prospects, and life expectancy all perform negatively when the stats from Northern Ireland are compared to its southern neighbor. Ireland's future is leading the calls for a return to a united island of Ireland.

Using stats, data and empirical evidence, a non-partisan pressure group is seeing real traction in its support with politicians, professionals and members of civil society, all pushing for the same goal. The secretary of the group's own story is a wholly interesting one where Niall Murphy shares not only his vision and push for a new Ireland, but shares his own struggle of being one of the first public figures to contract COVID at the start of the pandemic. That situation made him realize in the starkest terms that having Westminster's austerity policy was a recipe for disaster.
