Members of a Samsung Electronics union on Monday staged a rally in their continued strike in South Korea, demanding higher wages and improved benefits.

About 1,200 workers gathered for the rally and marched across the Giheung campus in Yongin, south of the capital Seoul.

Unionized workers at Samsung Electronics declared an indefinite strike earlier this month to pressure South Korea’s biggest company to accept their calls for higher pay and other benefits.

Thousands of members of the National Samsung Electronics Union initially launched a temporary, three-day strike but later announced an indefinite strike, accusing the management of being unwilling to negotiate.

Samsung Electronics said there have been no disruptions to production.
