Iran humiliated Israel with successful missile strikes: Islamic Jihad

The Islamic Jihad has commended Iran’s successful retaliatory strikes against Israeli targets that saw the Islamic Republic firing hundreds of missiles towards strategic and sensitive targets deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories last year.

“Greetings to Iran, which humiliated the occupier’s pride on the streets of Tel Aviv during the operations “True Promise I and II,” Abu Hamza, spokesman for the Gaza Strip-based Palestinian resistance group’s military wing, al-Quds Brigades, said in a video statement on Tuesday.

Iran has asserted that the strikes, launched in response to the Israeli regime’s violations against the country, only served to display a fraction of the Islamic Republic’s military might. Tehran has also warned that potential repetition of such aggression would entail stronger responses.

Thanking Iran, regional resistance

Abu Hamza also thanked the Islamic Republic for its support for Gaza during 15 months of ferocious Israeli war of genocide.

He went on to express the Palestinian resistance’s gratitude towards its fellow resistance movements across Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, which began launching heavy operations against the occupied territories following the war.

“We salute our steadfast people in Lebanon and the fighters of [the Lebanese resistance movement] Hezbollah, who stood firm on the battlefield and fought the enemy inch by inch,” the spokesman said.

“We extend greetings to the fighters of Hezbollah, and we remember the esteemed leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his martyred brothers, both leaders and fighters,” the official said, referring to Hezbollah’s former secretary general, who was assassinated during intense Israeli attacks against Beirut last year.

“Salutations to our people in Yemen and to the courageous leader Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, who launched their missiles and drones to strike at the heart of the entity,” he added.

Abu Hamza, meanwhile, dismissed the Israeli regime’s claim of launching the war in response to the Gaza-based resistance’s successful Operation al-Aqsa Storm against the occupied territories last October.

“The enemy’s barbaric war against our people is not a reaction to a military operation, but rather reflects a premeditated intent of war and genocide against an unarmed people deprived of the basic necessities of life,” he asserted.

The spokesman finally underlined that Palestinians’ religious and national duty required them to confront the occupation by all means.

He said the Palestinian nation had prepared a generation of strong moral and educational foundations to face up to the regime’s likely violation of a ceasefire deal that was implemented on Sunday as a means of potentially stopping the war.

“Behind us stands our heroic people, whose steadfastness alongside us is unparalleled in history. We owe them immense obligations.”
