Israel violating Gaza ceasefire

Israeli forces continue to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement with Hamas, as thousands of Palestinians return to their homes in the northern part of the territory. At least three Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli attacks across the blockaded strip. The new fatalities included a 5-year-old girl who lost her life after an air raid targeted a group of displaced people returning to the north. Gaza’s health ministry says it has received the bodies of eleven people, including those recovered from under the rubble, and new fatalities. That brings the total death toll from the Israeli genocide since October 2023 to over 47,300. Nearly 111,500 people have also been injured. Palestinians, however, continue to return to their homes despite Israeli violations of the ceasefire. According to the Hamas resistance movement, over 300,000 displaced Palestinians have so far returned to the territory's north after the Israeli military authorized their return as of Monday morning.

Rejecting Trump Gaza plan

The United Nations has voiced its firm opposition to U-S President Donald Trump's plan to forcibly displace Gazans to Jordan and Egypt. The comment was made by the UN chief’s spokesman. Stephane Dujarric described Trump's plan as a form of ethnic cleansing, underlining that the UN would naturally oppose any such plan. Trump's plan, which was revealed on Saturday, has already drawn sharp criticism from other countries and world bodies. While Egypt and Jordan flatly rejected the plan, the Arab League said it amounted to ethnic cleansing. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has also slammed the plan as a blatant violation of international law and UN resolutions. Germany, a close ally to both US and Israel, has also expressed its opposition to the idea. Its Foreign Ministry said the German government shares the views of the European Union, Arab partners, and the United Nations on Trump's plan.

Israel West Bank raids

Tensions are running high across the West Bank as Israeli troops continue their violent raids into several areas across the occupied Palestinian territories. Tulkarm and its refugee camp are now the focal point of the regime’s new incursions. According to local sources, Israeli forces have besieged two major hospitals in Tulkarm, preventing ambulances and medical teams from providing necessary services. Israeli bulldozers also caused extensive damage to the city’s infrastructure by destroying sidewalks and damaging local businesses. Israeli forces targeted an electricity transformer in Tulkarm, causing widespread power outages across the city. The governor of Tulkarm has called on international organizations to intervene and stop Israel’s crimes in the city. Earlier, the occupation forces killed two Hamas resistance fighters in an airstrike. The regime’s forces also raided Jenin, injuring at least two Palestinians. Israel has ratcheted up its violent attacks on Palestinians across the occupied West Bank since the regime began its genocidal campaign in Gaza in October 2023.
