Thousands protested in central Madrid against the genocide in Gaza, condemning Israel's violation of international law, demanding stronger international intervention and sanctions against Israel.

The release of the aid package followed the passage of reforms to the constitution, pushed by the chancellor-in-waiting Friedrich Merz to ramp up investment in military.
