China-Russia expanding relations

Xi Jinping is visiting Russia, as his first foreign trip since his re-election as Chinese president. China says President Xi's visit will be a trip of friendship, cooperation and peace.

The two world powers are set to map out the blueprint for the development of their comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era.

This comes while the western countries led by the United States have been pressuring and provoking Beijing and Moscow at increasing levels. The West’s policies, however, seem to have brought the two eastern powers closer together.

We will take a closer look at the growing China-Russia relations and how it will affect world affairs in this edition of the program.
