Iran’s Defense Ministry is ready to help the country’s aviation industry and equip all the airports with fully indigenous systems, the chief executive officer of Iran Electronics Industries (IEI) says.

Brigadier General Amir Rastegari said Sunday that ground should be prepared for young Iranian scientists and experts to produce systems.

He added that Iran Electronics Industries has succeeded in producing more than 800 systems and products to be used in space, air, sea and land by relying on young experts.

All these systems have been installed and are in use on all space platforms, the Iranian deputy defense minister explained.

Rastegari noted that Iranian firms active in the aviation industry have designed and produced various air-based and ground-based products used in many military airports in Iran and even some other countries.

Despite all the enemies’ acts of malice and sabotage as well as cruel sanctions, Iran’s Defense Ministry is improving its offensive and defensive capabilities by relying on Iranian experts, he emphasized.

The official added that Iran’s successful punitive measure -- called Operation True Promise -- against Israel’s attack on the Islamic Republic’s diplomatic premises in Syria and its fight against Daesh terrorists, which vanquished the terror group, are clear examples of the country’s trust in its own capabilities.

Iranian military experts and engineers have in recent years made remarkable breakthroughs in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient.

Iranian officials have made clear that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never open for negotiations.
