Polling stations have closed in Venezuela's presidential election and vote counting has begun after millions turned out to cast their ballots. The vote count results will determine the winner of the election and the country’s president for the next six years. Incumbent President Nicolas Maduro has expressed confidence in his victory while assuring that he will recognize the results provided by the electoral authority regardless of the outcome.
