Press TV Turkish, Hispan TV Brasil officially launched by IRIB World Service
The Turkish-language service of Press TV and the Portuguese-language service of Hispan TV for Brazil were officially launched on Sunday, marking a significant expansion in global news coverage.
Peyman Jebelli, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), announced the unveiling of these two new services under the IRIB World Service umbrella at an event in Tehran.
“Press TV is set to commence its activities on social media platforms in Turkish starting today, marking a significant step toward strengthening the warm and friendly ties between the two nations,” Jebelli said.
“This initiative also aims to present the proud image of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkey, a country considered a friend and brother,” the IRIB head added.

Jebeli also revealed the inclusion of Portuguese in the Hispan TV network of the overseas department, which previously operated solely in Spanish.
Jebeli highlighted that Portuguese-speaking African and European nations, particularly Brazil, will benefit from this expansion.
Press TV, Iran’s flagship English-language international news network operated by the IRIB World Service, has thus far been broadcasting in English and French, with a 24/7 dedicated news channel in English.
Now, with the debut of Press TV Türkçe, the prestigious media network takes an important step forward, opening an exciting new chapter in its international news operations.

Hispan TV, the renowned Spanish-language news channel of the IRIB World Service, already commands a vast audience across South America.
With the introduction of Hispan TV Brasil, the channel intends to increase its focus on Brazil, one of South America’s most important countries, with in-depth, region-specific news and analysis.
