Israel Lebanon aggression

Israeli troops have killed at least 22 people in southern Lebanon, on the same day that they were supposed to withdraw all forces from Lebanese soil. The Lebanese health ministry said more than 120 others have also been injured. Israeli forces opened fire on civilians trying to return to their homes in southern Lebanon. Lebanese citizens however, say they will return to their villages and towns, despite Israeli threats. Lebanon parliament speaker Nabih Berri has demanded international action against Israel after troops opened fire. President Joseph Aoun also denounced Israel for failing to abide by the ceasefire agreement in which it promised to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon by Sunday. The Israeli Prime Minister has recently said that the regime will keep its forces in southern Lebanon beyond the agreed deadline.

Israel stalling ceasefire deal

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, says Israel is violating the Gaza ceasefire deal by blocking Palestinians’ return to the north of the territory. Hamas says it’s following the issue up with the ceasefire mediators. The resistance movement said it holds Israel responsible for obstructing the ceasefire’s implementation. Gaza’s Civil Defense Agency says tens of thousands of displaced people are waiting near the Netzarim Corridor to return to the north after Israeli forces blocked al-Rashid Road. Israel accuses Hamas of reneging on its commitment under the deal, by failing to release a female captive named Arbel Yehud. The regime says Palestinians’ return to their homes will hinge on a confirmation that she is alive. Hamas says it has already offered the confirmation and given all the necessary guarantees for her release.

Slamming Trump Gaza proposal

Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement has condemned the US president’s proposal of relocating Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as an encouragement of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The resistance movement has said remarks by Donald Trump are in line with the policy of denying the existence of the Palestinian people and their rights. The US president said on Saturday that he would like to clean out Gaza, urging Egypt and Jordan to accept more Palestinians from Gaza. Trump’s proposal was welcomed by the Israel’s far-right minister Bezalel Smotrich and former minister Itamar Ben Gvir. Almost entire population of the Gaza Strip has been internally displaced due to the 15-months of Israel’s onslaught on the Palestinian territory.
