The Yemeni Armed Forces have claimed responsibility for a series of precision strikes against US warships, including the USS Harry S. Truman, in the Red Sea, in response to American aggression against their homeland.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s military, stated on Sunday morning that the country’s armed forces had three military confrontations with US vessels over the past 24 hours.

Saree noted that the retaliatory operations involved the missile force, the drone unit of the air force as well as the naval force of the Yemeni military, and were conducted with multiple domestically-developed cruise missiles and combat drones.

The senior Yemeni military official reiterated that the armed forces of the Arab country will continue to develop their defense capabilities and will confront escalation with escalation.

Saree underlined that Yemeni forces will not back down from supporting oppressed Palestinian people until the ongoing bloody onslaught against Gaza ceases, and the crippling siege on the coastal sliver is completely lifted.

He went on to salute heroic Yemeni military forces across all their ranks, stating they are performing their religious, humanitarian, and moral duties in defense of a free and independent Yemen and in support of oppressed Palestinians.

On behalf of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Saree also paid homage to the leader of the Ansarullah resistance movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, alongside all walks of the steadfast and courageous Yemeni society.

He also paid tribute to Palestinian resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip and the free and honorable Palestinian nation.

Yemenis have been hitting Israeli and American targets in support of Palestinians in Gaza since the regime launched its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, and in response to the American-British aggression on their homeland.

The operations have effectively shut down the Eilat port south of the occupied territories, causing significant economic setbacks for the Israelis.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have said they will not stop their attacks until Israel’s ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.

Houthi reaffirms support for Palestine on Eid al-Fitr

Ansarullah’s leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine and vowed continued resistance against US-led aggression on Yemen, asserting it would not weaken the country’s military capabilities or its operations in solidarity with Gaza.

In a message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, he said that Yemen’s resilience is rooted in its faith-based identity, Quranic principles, and trust in Allah.

He urged Muslims to remember the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, who face “starvation and genocide,” as well as the hardships of those in the West Bank and the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by “criminal Zionist Jews.”

Houthi also extended Eid al-Fitr congratulations to the Yemeni people, the armed and security forces, government institutions, and the families of martyrs, as well as to the Islamic nation, particularly the Palestinian people and resistance.
