Israel West Bank raids

The Israeli military campaign in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin has entered its third day. Israeli forces continue to besiege and attack hospitals in Jenin as they prevent medical teams from providing care for the injured. Also according to witnesses, paramedics have been obstructed from reaching the dead and wounded, who remain strewn across the streets. At least 12 people have been killed and over 100 others injured so far. Nearly 2,000 families have been forcibly displaced from their homes in Jenin and new evacuation orders have been issued in parts of the city and its refugee camp. This as Palestinian resistance fighters have dealt heavy blows to invading regime forces in Jenin.

Israel ceasefire violations

Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, launching fresh attacks across the besieged area. There are reports of heavy fire from Israeli tanks near the Karem Abu Salem crossing in southern city of Rafah. This crossing is crucial for aid delivery into Gaza. A quadcopter attack targeted civilians in the al-Shaboura refugee camp near Rafah, resulting in one death and several injuries. Israeli naval boats fired on beaches in northern and southern Gaza. The Palestinian health ministry reported that 53 bodies have been recovered in the past 24 hours. Thousands of Palestinians are still trapped under rubble. The death toll since October last year has surpassed 47,100. Over 111,000 others have been injured.

Iran nuclear program

Iran has once again reiterated its commitment to the global nuclear nonproliferation regime. Iran’s foreign minister described as audacious the recent remarks by the UN chief who has said that Iranians must once and for all make it clear that they will renounce to have nuclear weapons. Abbas Aragchi said Tehran has been a founding member of nuclear nonproliferation treaty and Islamic republic of Iran’s leader has issued a religious edict outlawing all weapons of mass destruction. He also referred to the JCPOA and said Iran remained committed to the deal even after the US unilaterally withdrew from it in 2018. The top diplomat called Israel's actual nuclear arsenal and refusal to join the NPT a threat to the world.
